Best Paw Forward is owned by Michael and Jamie Badial. Together, we have a vast experience in dog training, behavior modification and rescue. Our passion is helping our clients to have a better relationship with and a more in depth understanding of their canine companions. Both Michael and Jamie started training dogs using the "old school" methods of chokes and prongs but soon realized that mutual communication and positive reinforcement using the dog's natural motivators got better results. In lessons, we will discuss the various ways that your dog communicates with you including body movements, calming signals and other behaviors. We will use your dog's personal motivators (play, attention or food) to reinforce desired behaviors and show you how to properly manage the environment while working together to modify your dogs undesired behaviors.
Through years of self-study including books, videos and seminars; and with the aide of mentors; we have gained an in depth understanding of canine cognition and continue on our quest for knowledge daily. We work with breeders, rescues and other trainers in order to bridge the gap between the canine and human worlds. We work hard to promote responsible pet ownership regardless of where your pet comes from. Whether you need manners and socialization for your new puppy, are just building your bond with your new rescue or have major behavioral issues that need to be addressed, Best Paw Forward is there to support you and your canine. We provide day training and private training in NE Philadelphia, Montgomery and Bucks Counties (and some surrounding areas) as well as training classes in NE Philadelphia. |
